The commune of Zeinheim, with 170 inhabitants and an area of 247 hectares, is one of the smallest villages in the Suisse d’Alsace. It has no shop or traditional crafts, nevertheless there are three associations in the village (the Chorale Sainte-Cécile, the Amicale des Sapeurs Pompiers and the Association Fêtes et Loisirs. Zeinheim boasts a number of very fine typically Alsatian farmsteads and the Catholic church dedicated to St Côme et Damien and dating from the 18th century but with a bell tower from the 12th.
