Explore the Strasbourg wine region
The very best of the wine region
Explore the landscapes and picturesque villages along the 170 km of the Alsace Wine Route! The Kochersberg, Couronne D’Or and Molsheim wine areas are 20 kilometres away from Strasbourg, the capital of Europe, with a city centre listed as part of world heritage by UNESCO. They are easy to reach by car, but you can also go by bike along the Bruche Canal cycling route between Strasbourg and Soultz-les-Bains and on the Alsace Wine cycling trail. The Wine cycling trail begins, like the Alsace Wine Route, in Marlenheim, right at the heart of the Couronne d’Or, where the vineyards grow alongside cereals and fruit.
Enjoy all the charm of the Strasbourg vineyards along the Bacchus Trails. There are 4 Bacchus Trails, from 13 to 17 km long, running through the vineyards, orchards, forests and wine villages. Here you can get to know the specific features of the landscapes in total freedom with the help of educational panels for children and adults.
The trails begin from Marlenheim, Balbronn, Dahlenheim and Molsheim. See the trail routes and the markings to follow in our tourist information offices or on our website.

The Couronne D'Or winemakers respect traditions and the environment, and are committed to putting only selected wines on the market. Strict pruning and low yields are the watchwords to make sure the vines give of their best. A difference that becomes clear during a tasting, with high standards guaranteed from the vine to the bottle. The Couronne d’Or Association was set up by a group of winemakers who love their work and seek to promote high-quality wines. It is a history of family traditions among winemakers.

The Argentoratum is the top wine in the Strasbourg wine region. Argentoratum is the Latin name for Strasbourg. This is a dry white wine expressing the local conditions that help it to flourish. The vines were first planted by the Romans almost 2000 years ago. They have been brought to perfection by winemakers working together to develop this exceptional wine. More than a prestigious history, the winemakers invite you to enjoy a marvellous present with their original wines during your visit to the enchanting villages in the Couronne d'Or. Here you will find a whole way of life and a welcome like nowhere else.
