We propose 3 tours about De Gaulle and the period call "The Trails of Remembrance" :

- Pathway of the Phoney War : 2km in the village with an audioguide. It's a walking tour wich start behind the tourist office and last 45 minutes.

- Route of the 5th Army : It's a walk to discover the main places and facilities of the 5th Army. With an audioguide. 8 places on 4 hamlets. It start at the tourist office and last 1 day by feet, 1/2 day by bike and 2h30 by car.

- Smugglers' Trail ; this hiking of 20 km, was during the war, the way to freedom for Alsatians. It start at the tourist office and last 7h. Good physical condition necessary.

On the trails, Charlie comes along with your kids, from start to finish.

History :
In September 1939, Colonel de Gaulle was assigned by order of individual mobilization to the interim command of the tanks of the 5th Army, covering Alsace under the Maginot line, and whose PC was installed at Saverne. He joined the PC of the 5th Army, whose staff had just moved to Wangenbourg
